Advantages of EMR:

1. Easier and improved billing.
2. Easier access to information when off-site.
3. Coordination of care among providers.
4. Decrease in medical errors 

Disadvantages to EMR;

1. Very time consuming for the providers.
2. Cost of implementation and training.
3. Need fr additional staff related to IT needs
4. Loss of providers for increasing Medicare group related to non-compliance with EMR.
